I think it's perfect that I start my blog with a short video about finding a therapist. And whilst I might be putting a lot of pressure on myself to find just the right words on my first page, that may well be nothing compared to how you feel choosing a counsellor.
Whilst that first search can be stressful, getting the right counsellor can enable you to make real and sustainable changes. Successful counselling
can raise your self-esteem, improve your relationships or help you resolve difficult situations.
It's not a magic bullet though, it involves hard work from both you and the therapist. Finding someone you can trust and bond with makes all the difference.
